Mrs. Money: Natural Stress Relief

Stress is something that we will all experience at many points in our lifetimes.  Many Americans are over worked and over stressed.  Fortunately, there are many remedies you can use for natural stress relief.  Many of them are low cost or even free! Here are some things that help me lower my stress level.

  • Take a walk.  Exercise releases endorphins, which help you relax.  Exercise is free!  Taking a walk around your neighborhood can help clear your mind and even improve your fitness.  Yoga, Pilates, and walking are all good for stretching your muscles and relaxation. 

  • Talk to a friend.  My friends are excellent support systems, and when I'm feeling stressed I reach out to them.  They always lend an ear, and often contribute advice if I ask for it. Talking to a therapist is also a great idea if you can afford to do so. There are many programs out there to help people who otherwise couldn't afford to talk to a professional. 

  • Drink lots of water.  Water helps keep your circulatory and nervous system working properly, and when it's fully hydrated it works better.  It will also help flush out toxins out of your body, making it easier for your body to perform at maximum capability.

  • B complex vitamins.  B complex vitamins are awesome for natural stress relief.  They will help boost your mood naturally and help your body get the necessary vitamins it needs.

  • Write.  Sometimes writing down your thoughts just helps.  If you've got a sticky situation, many times you can come up with some conclusions if you just write ideas down!

    One can also gain relief from stress by having massage twice a week. Massage is one of the oldest way to remove such type of problems.
